The New Year is a time of peace, love and hope, a time for giving and a time for receiving. All the cats in our shelter want to receive is a home which is warm, safe and full of love. We’ve been helping cats and cat owners since 1897, but our services have never been more in demand and our costs continue to rise. At times this year our shelter has been at almost double its ideal capacity. and many of the cats in our shelter have had complex health issues. Cats like Angel in the image above who came to us with severe allergies and a skin condition. Despite that we have remained true to our principles of never giving up on a cat and never putting a healthy cat to sleep. We couldn’t do it without your help. January is always a busy time at the Shelter – and this new year is likely to be busier than ever. Nevertheless we’re determined to help as many cats as we can, which we can only do with the help of our supporters.

Many cats arrive with us in a terrible state. Before they can find their new forever homes, they need veterinary treatment. It is one of the most significant costs our charity faces.

Our  vet bills can be more than £10,000 a month, and they continue to rise. By donating today, using the button above, you can help meet that need – and give unwanted and abandoned cats the treatment they deserve.

Our team were caring for Sheffield’s cats throughout the festive period, even on Christmas day itself. We can’t do it alone – we need cat-lovers like you to help.
