Larry came to the shelter after being a long term stray.

He is sociable and friendly with humans as most of the ones he’s come across have been nice to him!

He enjoys some home comforts like his fave bed (pictured!) and does like to come get on a lap now and again.

As Larry was mainly an outdoor cat before, he does like to be able to spend time outside, but be able to come back inside to a warm bed and a good meal. Larry does get quite sad and wails if he can’t go out, so a home with in/out access is a must for him.

Larry enjoys his food and some sneaky treats! (Dreamies are his favourite!)

Larry stayed with a fosterer for a short time and she had this to say about him:

“Larry a handsome black panther. He is a confident, bold, assertive cat who likes to have his own way and knows how to demand food when he’s hungry! He likes to be undisturbed whilst he is in his bed so he can get his beauty sleep, but when he is ready, he is friendly and sociable and will often ask for head strokes and to sit on your lap. Because he’s sociable and often likes to sit on laps I think he’d benefit from two or ideally multiple people in his household so he’s always got some company. He is confident meeting new people. He is a bit unsure of any sudden hand movements so pets need to be done only when he wants them and calmly so he understands he’s safe. He doesn’t like being picked up or held, like most cats(!) and will let you know if you’re doing something he doesn’t like, with a nip.

He enjoys chin and cheek scratches, playing with his toys and sleeping in a cosy bed. He knows how to use a litter tray and a cat scratcher but he doesn’t seem too interested in climbing on cat trees.

He needs a good amount of indoor space to explore while he settles in and some safe outdoor space to roam.

I think he’ll be a good cat for the right household, probably a big family with a big house and garden would suit him best. I think he understandably still sees himself as an outdoor street cat so needs time to adjust to being a pet cat. I imagine he’s great at catching mice so a countryside life with the right family would also probably suit him well.”

We hope we can find Larry his new home soon, as he really wants to get back to his life of fresh air and excitement, while still having the comforts of a home on those chilly days!

If you could make him as happy as Larry, please get in touch!
