Pudsey came to us when his previous owner became too ill to care for him.

When Pudsey came to us he wasn’t in a very good state. His fur was knotted, matted and dirty and he had an upset tummy. His teeth are also rotten and gums very sore. On top of this Pudsey has been diagnosed as Diabetic. This means he has insulin injections twice daily, which he is very good with. He is groomed daily (sometimes a few times a day!) which he enjoys.

Pudsey is a very sweet little chap and we think once he settles more, he will come out of his shell much more. We think he must be feeling a little better having started his treatment for diabetes, and has even started to come out and explore with us down the corridor outside of his room, and decides when he wants to splat out on the floor so you can tickle his tummy!

Being a Persian, Pudsey will need daily grooming, which he does enjoy. This is an absolute must as the fur can get matted very quickly.

Pudsey does enjoy going outside, however, due to recently discovering his diabetes, it would be in his interest to be allowed into an enclosed garden only. As he needs insulin at the same times each day, if allowed free roam, he may wander off at the time he needs his insulin.

Pudsey will need a nice quiet, stress free home, with no children and no other pets.

If you have any questions or queries about the diabetes or insulin injections etc, please just drop us an email and we will be happy to help (info@thesheffieldcatsshelter.org.uk)
