Theo came to the shelter with a group of other cats when the owner was no longer able to cope.
Theo has been quite timid and wary of us while he’s been at the shelter, but staff and volunteers have been trying to work with him to gain his trust a little more and convince him we’re the good guys!
He seems to co-exist fine with some of the other cats (although some bully him a little), so may be ok with another friendly cat. He hasn’t been around dogs or children, and due to his shy nature it’s perhaps best to remain this way. Theo is used to going outside and shows a lot of interest in the open window at the shelter.
We think he could just be a little out of sorts at the cats shelter as he has never experienced such a place before. In a quiet home environment, where he can be more at ease and remember that he can trust us humans, he may become a very affectionate cat once more. He will need someone with time and patience and not someone wanting an instant result.
Theo has an endearing head tilt that makes him look constantly inquisitive. This has been checked out at the vets and they don’t see or foresee any issues with this. He gets around fine and it doesn’t seem to bother him. As he likes to go outside, a quieter area where there aren’t many cars etc would be ideal.
This handsome young man deserves the best home and we hope he finds it soon. If it could be yours, please click here.
