Lovely Raf came to us just after a very nasty tail pull injury. He had needed his tail amputating and was now suffering with some nerve damage. The lady that found him and brought him to us, was very generous and paid for his amputation (she would have kept him if it weren’t for having her own kitty at home). Sadly, Raf didn’t have a microchip, so we searched for an owner the old fashioned way, but our search was proving fruitless.
Raf had a wonderful personality, he was so loving and people oriented, and wanted to be around people all the time, snuggling up on laps whenever he could. He loved to play and had bags of energy! So, we knew when he was feeling off a few days later. He hadn’t pooped in a day and we were concerned so took him to the vets. Raf was very constipated after just a day, as his injury had caused so nerve damege, so a change to his diet, some medicine (which would be for the rest of his life) and lots of love and hugs was needed to get him back on his feet.
When he was finally ready for adoption, it took a while to find him the right home. A wonderful couple came forward and were in love with Raf’s description, knowing they were in love before they met him. The meet and greet didn’t disappoint and it was a match made in heaven! After 22 long weeks with us, Raf had finally found his forever home, and he’s still doing great!
One of our team even paid him a visit a few weeks ago to say hi and drop off some goodies, and he’s still the same cuddle bug as he ever was, except now he’s super happy he can go outside again!
Overall, Raf’s treatment cost £1684 in vet bills!
