With restrictions being eased, we decided it was time to review our safety policies and share with you what we are currently doing to stay safe whilst providing care and homes for cats in need.

In the Shelter

We are still unable to accept visitors and volunteers into the shelter, however we are closely monitoring the situation and will make an announcement when this has changed.

A few weeks ago we began bringing cats into the shelter again, with nineteen cats coming to us in the first week on top of all the cats that are currently on temporary foster in the homes of our biggest supporters.

With this came a much higher workload. As such, we now have two groups of three instead of two groups of two operating on separate days. We are still taking every precaution to avoid contact and are strictly observing social distancing protocol.

It is these extra pairs of hands that has allowed us to offer our “foster to adopt” system, allowing us to offer adoptions again, and to bring in so many needy cats.

Physical Donations

We are still accepting physical donations of food, litter, and other essentials at the shelter, however we please ask that you leave these attempts at the door and ring the bell, for us to collect safely.

Our shops

After carefully considering the situation we believe that it would be safer for our staff and the public for us to hold off on opening our doors, and not join some other charity shops in reopening in the middle of June. We are closely monitoring this situation, and will update you both on here and our social channels when this has changed.

Whilst we appreciate every donation we receive, we ask that people don’t bring physical donations for our shops until our shops are open and able to receive them.

We hope this makes our current policies clear. We would also like to thank our cat team for working so hard to help all our cats during these difficult times. We are so proud of the work they do, and we’re sure our cats are too.
