Celebrating 126 Years
September 15, 2023

Last year we held a street party outside our Travis Place shelter to mark 126 years of helping cats in need and their owners – and we think that’s worth celebrating!

We’re pleased to say that we celebrated in style and our birthday celebrations proved a great success! Our staff and volunteers worked incredibly hard to ensure the day went smoothly, and we even gained extra support from some of our social media supporters, which we really appreciated!

There were stalls, refreshments, and games for all ages, and we even had live music. We are indebted to PPL PRS who provided us a free license to allow live performances at our event!

We were also thrilled to have our first trustees in attendance, Dancing On Ice superstar Frankie Seaman and world-leading Egyptologist Joann Fletcher. Both gave wonderful talks and mingled with the crowd afterwards!

It was a wonderful day, and it was a fitting celebration! We were thrilled with the support we received, and look forward to the next 126 years!
