We’re Celebrating Our 126th Birthday
August 30, 2023

The Sheffield Cats Shelter was founded in 1897, and thanks to our supporters and volunteers we’re still going strong – making us one of the UK’s oldest surviving animal charities.

We think that’s worth celebrating, which is why we’re holding a 126th birthday street party outside our shelter at 1 Travis Place, Broomhall, Sheffield S10 2DB. Save the date, and visit us on Saturday 9th September from 130 until 430.

You may remember last year’s 125th anniversary celebrations (a picture of the Lord Mayor’s visit to it is above. A great day was had by all, and we’ve got even more taking place this year. You can expect stalls, games for children, refreshments, live music and some VIP guests, as well as hourly live streams from our cat rooms. We’d love to see you there, so keep an eye on our social media channels and please spread the word! Thank you also to PPL PRS for supplying The Music License for our event!
